Homeland Security Considers Laptop Ban In Aircraft Cabins

The Secretary of Homeland Security indicated that the department is considering a ban on laptops for international flights.

John Kelly clarified that the devices will only be barred from aircraft cabins.

During an interview with Fox News, Kelly added that Homeland Security wants to raise the bar for airline security, with tighter screens of carry-on luggage.
But Kelly also noted a problem with the airline industry and consumer response.

TSA screeners are having difficulty seeing through 'clutter' as consumers stuff their carry-on luggage to the brim, in order to save money on checking-fees.
