Rand Paul's Injuries Are Worse Than Originally Thought

Senator Rand Paul's injuries are much worse than originally thought after he was allegedly beaten by his next-door-neighbor on Saturday.

According to a top aide, the Kentucky senator suffered five broken ribs and bruises to his lungs. There is no current timetable for his return.

His neighbor, 59-year-old Rene Boucher (bow-chur), was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault. Authorities have not yet released a motive in the attack, but Jeff Jones, a registered nurse who worked with Boucher, told the Washington Post that Boucher had liberal leanings and that he quote "was active on social media and said some negative things about the Republican agenda."
