Unrest Builds In Iran As Protesters Attack Police Station

Iranian police stations were attacked late into the night by protesters on Monday, as security forces struggle to contain the most drastic challenge to the clerical leadership since unrest in 2009.

There have been unconfirmed reports of several casualties among demonstrators.

This is the fifth day of demonstrations. On Sunday, some 13 people were reported killed in a wave of unrest.

Clerical leaders in power since the 1979 Islamic Revolution are feeling the pressure from protesters with President Hassan Rouhani making a televised call for calm on Sunday.
