Baking Soda Has Potential To Treat Autoimmune Disease

A new study holds promise for people with autoimmune disorders. Researchers are still in the early stages of testing, but there's the potential that something as simple as a daily dose of baking soda in water could reduce the inflammation of diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Researchers at the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University found that when rats or healthy people digest a solution of baking soda and water, it triggers the stomach to make more acid. The antacid solution then prompts the spleen to stay calm instead of mounting an immune response. Although the idea is intriguing, researchers warn you shouldn't start mixing up baking soda cocktails at this point. So far, the baking soda solution has only been tested on rodents and people without autoimmune conditions. https://ift.tt/2KnJ8zP http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
