AT&T Clarifies Payment To Trump Lawyer Michael Cohen

Wireless carrier AT&T said the $200,000 it paid to the consulting firm of Donald Trump's attorney Michael Cohen was not for legal or lobbying work. The payment was revealed as one of several to Cohen on Tuesday totaling more than a million dollars. In an e-mailed statement, AT&T said, "Essential Consultants was one of several firms we engaged in early 2017 to provide insights into understanding the new administration." One insight at the time AT&T was certainly interested in was how Trump viewed a proposed AT&T/Time Warner merger. The Justice Department wound up filing to block the deal unless AT&T got rid of CNN and other Time Warner assets. https://ift.tt/2KKLTva http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
