Cambridge Analytica's Data May End Up On Sale To The Highest Bidder

According to a report by Business Insider, as Cambridge Analytica faces bacruptcy, one of the possible ways the company could settle its debts would be to sell the user data it harvested from Facebook. While Cambridge Analytica claims that it no longer possesses such data, that fact is reportedly in dispute. Jim Vincequerra, a partner at law firm Alston and Bird who specializes in bankruptcy law, said, "Personal identifiable information in bankruptcy can be sold. It's a defined term in the bankruptcy code, and there is a specific provision that addresses it." Vincerquerra went on to claims that if Cambridge Analytica lists any user data or psychological profiles, those assets could be sold to the highest bidder. https://ift.tt/2JXiufN http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
