FDA Recalls More Than 206 Million Eggs Due To Salmonella Outbreak

The Food and Drug Administration issued a statement on Friday stating Rose Acre Farms in Seymour, Indiana, was recalling over 206 million eggs. The agency reports there have been 35 cases of salmonella-based illnesses, including 11 hospitalizations. Food Lion and Walmart are among the grocery chains selling the recalled eggs, which were distributed in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia. Symptoms of salmonella food poisoning include diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps. Typically, healthy adults can recover in less than a week, but the infection can be fatal for young children, older people, and others with weakened immune systems. https://ift.tt/2JN4Nku http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
