Kilauea Serves As A Warning For U.S. Active Volcanic Regions

According to a report by Mother Nature Network, the eruption of Hawaii's Kilauea volcano serves as a warning of potential volcanic activity throughout the U.S. Scientists reportedly believe that many of the United States' volcanoes are due for a major eruption. U.S. volcanoes mostly exist in Alaska's Aleutian Islands, the Cascade Range which stretches from British Columbia to Northern California, and in the Hawaiian islands. Many of theses volcanoes have not erupted for thousands of years, which increases the risk of an eruption in the unpredictably near future. Hawaii's Kilauea, which started erupting 12 days ago, has forced hundreds of people to evacuate from residential neighborhoods as a series of vents has opened up spewing lava fountains and dangerous sulfur gas. https://ift.tt/2jY2ijv http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
