Major Australian Bank Loses 12 Million Customers' Data

The largest bank in Australia has belatedly confirmed a massive data breach. BuzzFeed reports that Commonwealth Bank lost 12 million customers’ data after magnetic tape backups containing their personal financial history from 2004 to 2014 went missing. When the bank lost the tapes, it didn’t even bother telling its customers about the incident. The data loss was publicly revealed this week, but it took place back in 2016. The bank hired a task force to locate the missing tapes but they were never found. https://ift.tt/2JKjzYo http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
