NASA's First Interplanetary Launch From West Coast A Mission To Mars

Business Insider reports that some Californians are about to witness NASA's first interplanetary rocket launch from the West Coast on Saturday morning. NASA's Mars InSight lander is scheduled to blast off from Vandenberg Air Force Base, located about 150 miles north of Los Angeles, on an Atlas V rocket. The launch is scheduled for 4:05 a.m. local time, and will be streamed with video coverage starting around 3:30am on Saturday. If everything goes according to plan, the InSight lander will spend about six months traveling through space before touching down on Martian soil. https://ift.tt/2wbIdiC http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
