Octopuses May Be The World's Weirdest Animals

According to a report by Business Insider, octopuses may just be the world's weirdest animals. Not only do octopuses have blue blood, but they are also capable of changing colors and regrowing their tentacles, and can even edit their own RNA. Scientists still aren't sure how or why the octopus gained the ability to edit significant amounts of their RNA, but studies suggest that modern octopuses are editing their RNA to adapt to temperature changes in the environment. According to Business Insider, by editing their RNA octopuses can "try out" adaptations in the short-term without altering their DNA and affecting entire generations to come. https://ift.tt/2LasVOB http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
