Parkes Radio Telescope Increases Search For Intelligent Alien Life

According to a report by Mother Nature Network, The Parkes radio telescope, a project launched in 2015, has officially begun its search for intelligent extraterrestrial life. The giant radio telescope in New South Wales, Australia is now surveying 1 million stars in the Milky Way along with some neighboring galaxies. The radio telescope reportedly covers 10 times more of the sky than previous programs, 5 times more of the radio spectrum, and manages to do it all 100 times faster. The telescope is reportedly sensitive enough to hear a common aircraft radar transmitting to us from any of the 1000 nearest stars. Danny Price, a Parkes Project scientist, said, ""With these new capabilities, we are scanning our galaxy in unprecedented detail." https://ift.tt/2K7Oqy8 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
