Syria Looks To Crush Rebel Enclave, Suffers Heavy Losses In Sustained Fight

According to a report by Reuters, Syrian troops fought to stamp out the last pockets of resistance by Islamic State militants trapped in an enclave south of Damascus on Sunday. Reuters reports that while the recovery of the enclave south of Damascus would mark another milestone in President Bashar al-Assad's war, swathes of territory at the borders of Iraq, Turkey and Jordan remain outside state control. Despite the use of extensive air power leveling much of the area, troops and allied militias have reportedly sustained heavy losses in the fight against diehard militants waging a battle to the end. https://ift.tt/2LizVZR http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
