The Royal Botanical Gardens' Temperate House Restored & Open To The Public

Mother Nature Network reports, the Royal Botanical Gardens' Temperate House in Kew, England has once again opened to the public, with over 69,000 elements having been removed, cleaned, and either restored or replaced. The 155 year-old structure was closed in 2013 for a massive restoration project which saw 15,000 new panes of glass installed. The massive renovation of the Temperate House makes the greenhouse a generational attraction since it will take decades for many of the the plants to grow to their full splendor. Flora from all over the world's temperate zones were planted in the greenhouse, which also houses three 'extinct-in-the-wild' species and another 70 plants that are either threatened or endangered. https://ift.tt/2jwjIn7 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
