Volcanic Activity at Kilauea Continues

The Kilauea volcano began erupting on May 3rd, and volcanic activity has only increased. Almost two weeks after fissures ripped the ground around the volcano open, spewing molten lava, the summit exploded and sent a plume of ash 30,000 feet into the air. Now that ash is settling along with toxic gases in the residential areas around Kilauea, like the Leilani Estates subdivision. Although areas around the volcano are covered in hardened lava rock, the lush green jungle is also rotting due to noxious gases like sulfur, which continue to vent from open fissures in the ground. https://ift.tt/2wOGMal http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com
