A month after a Nashville Waffle House shooting killed four, one of the victim's family is suing The family of Joe Perez has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the accused shooter’s father. They allege that Jeffrey Reinking improperly gave his son Travis access to weapons. This despite having promised the Tazewell County Sheriff’s office he would not do so. The state had previously revoked Travis’ right to own firearms. They claim Jeffrey Reinking knew Travis' mental health was unpredictable. And by giving the 29-year-old a weapon he jeopardized the safety of others. The family says he “negligently breached” his duty by providing access to the AR-15 used in the shooting.
